At Montclair Elementary, we believe that creating a positive and supportive school environment helps every student succeed. Our school follows P.R.E.S.S. for Success expectations to guide students in making positive behavior choices throughout the school day. P.R.E.S.S. stands for:
Positive – Encouraging kind words, appropriate behavior, and a positive attitude.
Responsible – Making smart choices, following rules, and taking care of personal and shared spaces.
Engaged – Staying focused, listening actively, and participating in learning.
Safe – Respecting personal space, walking calmly, and following safety guidelines.
Solution-Focused – Solving problems appropriately, helping others, and learning from mistakes.
These expectations are applied in all areas of the school, including hallway, restroom, cafeteria, bus, classroom, and playground.
