Trina Ross, Assistant Principal

Greetings Mustang Family,

My name is Trina Ross, and I am both honored and excited to serve as the Assistant Principal of Montclair Elementary. I look forward to supporting our school’s mission and vision while working alongside our incredible principal, teachers, students, and families.

As a proud Atlanta native, I’ve always known that I wanted to pursue a career in education. After graduating from high school, I attended Clark Atlanta University, where I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education. I later obtained a Masters degree in Education with a focus on Reading, Language, and Literacy from Georgia State University. Additionally, I hold an Education Specialist degree in Curriculum, Instruction, Management, and Administration from Nova Southeastern University, and I’ve earned my Educational Leadership certification from Kennesaw State University.

With over 20 years of experience, I’ve had the privilege of working in various roles that have shaped me both as a teacher and a leader. My career began as a 4th and 5th grade teacher, where I taught for twelve years before transitioning to the role of Instructional Coach. From there, I advanced to become a District Content Specialist. Most recently, I served as a District Induction Teacher Mentor, where I focused on building teacher capacity and supporting instructional practices to improve retention.

I’m excited to bring this experience and passion for education to Montclair Elementary where I will continue to foster a positive school culture, support teachers in the delivery of intentional, engaging instruction that meets the needs of all our students, while contributing to the success and growth of our entire community.

Educationally Yours,

Trina Ross
